Access Manager allows you to set a number of options to customise how Voicemail contacts you when a caller dials your extension. All options are toggled on/off when you select them. If any of these options are not available, see your system administrator. |
1 |
Follow Me. Allows you to enter a number and set how long the number will be active. This number may be internal or external. Calls reaching your mailbox will be forwarded to this number, if unanswered the call is returned to your mailbox. |
3 |
Call Blocking. When this function is active, your extension will not ring and callers will go directly to your mailbox and hear the ‘blocked’ greeting (if recorded). |
4 |
Call Forwarding. Unlike Follow Me, this function allows you to pass control of your calls to another extension. The caller will hear “Forwarding to extension name” before being forwarded. |
5 |
Call Screening. When active, the caller will be asked their name and the voicemail system will play this name to you before the transfer, giving you an option to accept or reject the call. |
6 |
Find Me. When active, Voicemail will attempt to locate you by calling a list of preprogrammed numbers (entered via Personal Services #2). The list can contain up to 9 numbers but Voicemail will only use the first 5. |
7 |
Night Intercept. This feature is dependent on your weekly availability schedule (entered via Personal Services #3). When active Voicemail will ring your extension then play your primary no answer message during the day and just play the night greeting during the night. This does not use the schedules of the phone system. It is solely controlled by the Voicemail availability schedule. |
